Landscape of the Body

Like the Earth, the human body has rolling hills, sharp peaks, furrows and valleys. Through composition and chiaroscuro these landmarks can be emphasized. Carefully controlled light caresses the contours of the body, revealing its sensuality, strength and fertility. The anonymity of these photographs and the focus on a portion of the figure keep the emphasis on form and challenge the viewer’s perceptions concerning the human body.

Several of these photos were exhibited in my first solo exhibition in 2010, titled "Landscape of the Body".
